Came across this place by luck several years back and it became one of the preferred pho places when I'm on the west side. Their name is a French(?) Version of Pagolac so I assume they might be related. Overall good experience, a lot more food at the same/slightly less price compared to the pho places in WEM. Quality wise, it's similar to the places in WEM

La Pagode's venue brought me back to a time in the mid-eighties when metal tube, faux velvet chairs were in every kitchen and silk flowers were a sure way to add the effect of nature without the maintenance. Until you forget to dust. It's a common style among many restaurants in the city and has grown on me.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating towards Gluten free options. They were able to answer all of my friend's questions and recommend dishes that they would ensure had no Gluten.
I ordered #57, a vermicelli bowl with beef and a spring roll. It came with a side of fish sauce. There were four sauces already on the table to increase the heat or sweetness. The portions were large and filling. The meal was delicious and affordable.
It is a great place for some Vietnamese Cuisine. It's down to earth, filling food. -

We come here pretty often as a quick lunch place. My colleagues love the satay pho, but I'm not a huge fan of the thickness of the broth. Their pho is decent and I like the bun bo hue - hard to find a good one in town. Lots of variety in rice and vermicelli bowls, and an extensive stir fry menu. One day I am going to try their 7 course beef set menu!!
It doesn't look fancy by any means, and it's a bit weird to eat while looking at yourself in the mirrors on the walls, but the servers are friendly and the food comes out incredibly quick. They're usually very busy on weekdays at lunch, so you may have to share a communal table or wait a bit. Tables turn quickly though. -

This is my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the West of Edmonton. Less then 1 minutes across from West Edmonton Mall. All the Vietnamese items Pho,Noodles, Rice and Grilled dishes and drinks are delicious and authentic.
This Vietnamese restaurant offered a large foods Menu more then 10 Pho, Noodles, Rice and Grilled dishes, and smoothies drinks choices. The foods menu offered authentic Vietnamese Pho with all the choices. Including:Fatty Flank, tripe etc. And rare drink smoothies like durian, jack fruit and other Vietnamese drinks and desserts too.
The prices here is $$, average for all Pho and Vietnamese foods. About $11-20/dish. The drinks are about $4.95. Appetites are about $6.95.

My boyfriend needed to eat before work and since he works across the street at West Edmonton Mall he wanted something different from the usual joints in there. I suggested Vietnamese (because I'm always down for a big bowl of soup) and he eagerly agreed. Neither of us had been here before but we will definitely be coming back here regularly from now on.
Parking is ample, especially on the weekends, and the inside is sparse but very clean. Staff was attentive and the menu was huge. Since we were both starving we decided to get 2 appys to share as well as a main dish. I went with a chicken pho (a first for me, I'm usually a beef girl), he went with one of the combo plates and we also shared a green onion cake and some shrimp dumplings.
The dumplings were not fancy but were good and the green onion cake was about as close to perfect as you can get. We weren't quite done our appys when the mains arrived and holy crap were we ever pleased. Huge portions, incredibly fresh looking shrimp, everything seasoned perfectly and just delicious. He got a spring roll with his and whatever filling they use is just dynamite--I've never had such a delicious spring roll in my life. And my soup was top notch, I don't know why I've waited so long to hop on the chicken pho bandwagon. I am a bit disappointed that I didn't see any spicy broth pho on the menu, that's always a favourite of mine (I know that I can always doctor my soup up with the table condiments but it's never the same).
Paying the bill took a bit longer than we expected (they still do the thing where the orders are written down by hand and then they manually figure out the dollar amount) but other than that no complaints. This restaurant is close to where I live, convenient enough for Josh to stop by before or after work and has great quality food. I will be back again very soon.
